Day trip - CRYSTAL KAYAK TRIPS TWICE A DAY!

DAY TRIPS are semi-guided ECO Tours on the beautiful waters around the Emerald Coast . You will be paddling in Crystal Clear Kayaks™ to allow you to see into the clear waters of the Gulf Coast.  These  trips are relaxing, exciting, and peaceful excursions are typically done at your rental condo/home location from the beach (when surf conditions allow), an area Dune Lake, canal, or Harbor launch site. If you don't have a launch location, we can help direct you to a safe and legal launch site. We do launch from several different locations to maximize your Day Trip Experience and you can stay on the water for a full 3 hours on these trips (9am - 12pm or 2pm - 5pm). 

The DAY TRIPS launch Sunday - Thursday aT 9am - 12pm or 2pm-5pm. Actual time on the water will be about 3 hours.  

The maximum allowable weight per person is 235 LBS with a combined weight of 450 LBS for each Glo-Row kayak. There is a two person limit per kayak but we recommend one person per boat if pushing either of these limitations.

1) a dry towel to leave with your belongings onshore or in your car. 

2) a waterproof camera or waterproof case for your phone that allows you to take pics with it on. 

3) maybe bottle of water.

4) BUG SPRAY!

Cover up with swim wear under (or) shorts and top that can get a little wet and dry quickly.  Spring/Fall Tours: Light-weight but warn jacket or windbreaker. Light rain jacket if it's raining. 

NO SHOES WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE BOATS. 

Florida Weather can change on a dime, so we watch both the current conditions and forecast closely throughout the day. If we cancel due to bad weather on the day of your party's trip you will; 1) be rescheduled to next available time slot 2) be offered a gift card for your next visit to the area 3) receive a full refund less 5% CC processing fee and $25 admin fee. We will not launch with high winds, lightning, or heavy storms. However we do still launch in a light rain or cold weather.

The kayaks are extremely stable and will not tip over unless you lean your body over the side, stand up in the kayak during the tour, or exceed the weight recommendations.

Yes. Nothing can be better than a group of friends or family getting together for a paddle, far away from the distractions of the fast track world. Please contact us well in advance of your planned  date to ensure tour availability and locations.

No problem. We provide a PFD (life jacket) and an alert whistle for each guest. While you should expect to get a little wet, there is no reason for a guest to ever enter the water during a tour. STAY IN THE BOAT is Rule #1.

No. While experience is a benefit and can enhance your experience, our tours are for everyone including first time kayakers. Simply balance and row, it's pretty easy stuff!

YES! We're a family friendly activity. The minimum weight requirement is 30 pounds and an adult must be in the same vessel with children under 10. Children 12 & under must wear their PFD while on the water. Children between 10-17 can rent a kayak solo (or tandem) with parental permission and waiver signed by parent or guardian. Only two people per kayak under any circumstance. (possible exceptions for small children with 2 adults)

NO! We have a strict NO ALCOHOL policy. We get it, you're on vacation however we want to maintain a safe and family friendly environment for everyone.

**PaddleFish Outfitter, LLC &  Destin Kayak Rentals reserve the right to refuse service to anyone unable to safely paddle due to alcohol or drug consumption prior to their trip.  If DKR staff make a judgment call based on alcohol or drug use prior to your scheduled, the guest will not be allowed to paddle or receive a refund for the trip cost.

Guests typically paddle within site of our dock or launch location. You will be advised in more detail by staff at the safety briefing before your tour.

If your tour is cancelled by Destin Kayak Rentals due to unsafe weather conditions, you will 1) be rescheduled to next available time slot 2) be offered a gift card for your next visit to the area 3) receive a full refund less 5% processing fee and $25 admin fee. 

A guest can cancel up to 48 hours before their session, after that NO REFUND will be given if a guest cancels.

We will NOT REFUND if your party decides upon arrival that you need fewer kayaks than you initially reserved as we were unable to book them with other guest.
