GLOW FISH TRIPS are FUN FISHING excursions launching in the heart of the Destin Harbor . You will be fishing from BRAND NEW 2024 pedal drive craft especially designed for fishing. Like our Glow Trip Kayaks, these craft are custom fitted with LED light bars to illuminate the waters beneath your craft. These trips are fun, exciting, and an all around great experience for anglers 13 and older.
GLOW FISH TRIPS launch 15-30 minutes after Glow Trip #2 returns and will last for 3 hours.

What kind of fish are we fishing for?
We will be targeting Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Pompano all of which can make great table fare. We are also likely to catch Black Drum, Bluefish, Catfish, and Jack Crevalle which are all fun to catch but typically less desirable to eat.
Can you keep your catch?
You can keep any legal fish that you intend to eat or use for bait later. We don't use cut bait on these trips but if you want to keep a legal fish to use as bait on your own later, you can.

We strictly use artificial baits only on the water at night.
You can bring your own tackle but NO LIVE or FROZEN BAIT AT NIGHT.
Do we need previous experience kayaking?
No. While this is really not the best setting to learn to kayak fish...we're willing to teach you the basics if you're willing to learn. While experience is a benefit and can enhance your experience, Glow Fish is for everyone over 13 years old...including first time kayakers.
Can we bring the teens?
YES! We're a family friendly activity. Teens between 13-17 who can operate a kayak solo can Glow Fish with parental permission and waiver signed by parent or legal guardian. Only one person per kayak on the fishing trips.
Can we bring alcohol?
NO! We have a strict NO ALCOHOL policy. We get it, you're on vacation however we want to maintain a safe and family friendly environment for everyone.
**PaddleFish Outfitter, LLC & Destin Kayak Rentals reserves the right to refuse service to anyone unable to safely paddle due to alcohol or drug consumption prior to arriving for their trip. If DKR staff make a judgment call based on alcohol or drug use prior to your scheduled trip, the guest will not be allowed to paddle or receive a refund for the trip cost.
How far do we paddle?
While the skill level of the group can change our intended Float Plan, we typically paddle 1-3 miles on a Sunset & Glow Trip and slightly less distance on the later trips. This is a physical activity but we have had an 80 year old couple make the full loop and keep up. You will be advised of your designated Float Plan by GTK staff at the safety briefing before your tour. We stay together as a group while on the water.
What's the cancellation policy?
If your tour is cancelled by Destin Kayak Rentals due to unsafe weather conditions, you will 1) be rescheduled to next available time slot 2) be offered a gift card for your next visit to the area 3) receive a full refund less 5% processing fee and $25 admin fee.
We will NOT REFUND if your party decides upon arrival that you need fewer kayaks than you initially reserved as we were unable to book them with other guest and staff each night according to the number of kayaks that are reserved.
GLOW FISH TRIPS are
$250 per Angler for 3 hours fishing.
All Kayaks are SOLO and require some strength to pedal and steer so we do require all anglers to be a minimum of 13 years of age. Some exceptions may be made for experienced kayakers fishing with a parent.
All Glow Fish Trips are operated on a 2:1 angler/guide ratio with no more than 2 anglers per trip.
